The Washington Nationals have released outfielder Elijah Dukes today.
Dukes is known throughout Major League Baseball more for his off the field antics than his baseball talent.
His antics have ranged from assault and battery charges to murder threats to the accused impregnation of a seventeen year old foster child.
Dukes was a highly regarded athletic talent in both baseball and football when the Tampa Bay Devil Rays drafted him in the third round of 2002 Entry Draft.
