The Nationals reached an agreement on a minor league deal with Matt Stairs, according to the team’s Twitter feed. He holds the big league record with 23 career pinch-hit home runs. Of course this is only a minor league deal with an invite to Spring Training but it seems like the Nat’s are trying to add some real pop in the lineup this season.
